#14 Black and White Ruffed Lemur

Critically Endangered

The black and white ruffled lemurs are about 6½-10 pounds. They mostly eat fruit but will eat leaves and nectar and seeds. They are considered the world's largest pollinators. Unlike most lemurs, the mother carries her young (twins or triplets typically) in her mouth like a cat rather than the baby hugging her as is typical. Their call can be heard half a mile away, and they are talkative.

Thought this would be helpful to share. For one thing, it shows just how small these paintings are. Also, it shows how much goes into the paintings. In the drawing of the eyes and muzzle you see there, I have already used all of those pencils, mostly in the eyes.
